Hippos and Titans and Soldiers and Men and Monsters and Astronauts (Oh My!)

How cool is this? It's a test shot of my new Hippo Titan Soldier figure that I'm doing as a collaboration with ManOrMonster? Studios. ManOrMonster? is the mastermind behind the awesome Warlords of Wor and MOTUMU lines of magnetically articulated 5.5" resin designer action figures. Much like other ManOrMonster? productions, Hippo Titan Soldier will have magnetic articulation. In this case, the articulation will be at the arms and waist and HTS will be fully compatible with WoW and MOTUMU's.
Additionally, Hippo Titan Toldier will include a blunderbuss accessory, which will be able to be magnetically stored on either his thigh or back. These are in the works now, and I am going to TRY to get a small batch done for C2E2 at the end of April. I have quite a few exciting projects for C2E2, including the Infection Galaxxor collab with The Godbeast and Onell design, Lucha Shark Rudo Rey Mar, a Shawnimals collab Galaxxor, as well as a Skinner General Gorgax! So yeah, I'm busy. I will,at the very least, premiere a painted sample of the first HTS figure at C2E2. We'll just have to see...
It's also worth noting that this design and concept owes a great deal of debt to the Giff from the currently inactive Spelljammer D&D campaign setting.  Anyone who's the least bit interested is wholeheartedly advised to check Spelljammer out!

I had posted about this before, but one of the coolest projects in the world right now is the Mini Comics Included Kickstarter by my friends Michael Moreci, Steve Seeley, and Tim Seeley!  One of the incentives for the project was a super exclusive Galaxxor, which sold out immediately. But fear not! New incentives have been added, including this super cool Murder figure (from Hoax Hunters) which just happens to feature some Hippo Titan soldier parts sculpted by yours truly, along with other parts by ManorMonster Studios!

Behold, Gorgax!

I'd like to thank everyone who came out and visited my friends and I at the Nerd City booth last weekend at C2E2. Your support means so much to us! You guys snatched up all of the Cyborg Space Barbarians that I had to offer and got a sneak preview of this prototype of my next figure, Galaxxor's arch nemesis, General Gorgax!
As I stated above, this is the prototype, so there might be minor tweaks. But, I think I'm going to stick with the gloss glitter black/ matte black/ neon green color scheme. These guys will be in an edition of five and pricing and drop date are tba. However, I'm thinking that these figures will be closer in cost to Galaxxors and will probably drop in about a month.
Apologies to those of you who missed out on the first waves of Cyborg Space Barbarians. But, fear not! I intent to produce a few more sets for sale in the web store in the near future.

See You at C2E2!

This weekend, from April 13-15, I will be at Nerd City's booth #842 at C2E2! And, I'm going to be bringing 5 of General Gorgax's elite henchmen with me, The Cyborg Space Barbarians!

Drowlok

Wardraak (Horned Variant)

Hallogrim

Gammathrall (Horned Variant)

Orion Axe

The Cyborg Space Barbarian figures Orion Axe, Wardraak, Hallogrim, Gammathrall and Drowlok consist of a helmet that was originally designed and sculpted by Ben Spencer and produced in resin by Marty “The Godbeast” Hansen. These Cyborg Space Barbarian figures also feature bodies from disused vintage Masters of the Universes that were rescued from second hand stores, flea markets and the like, and brought back to brilliant life with hand painting and tlc from Ben Spencer. Each character will be available in an edition of 5 with 2 special horned “chase variant” figures. They will come in standard bag and header card format and will be available for $40 each from the Nerd City booth #842. Any leftovers will be available next week in The Galaxxor Online Store.
Fans of resin/MOTU/indie/Glyos toys will find plenty of other things to love at booth #842. Check out this blog entry at Nerd City for more details. There will also be plenty of cool things on display for Galaxxor fans to check out, including past Galaxxors, the still very WIP Xenotron sculpt and the unveiling of the General Gorgax figure.

Xenotron WIP

Above are images of the work in progress sculpt for my second figure, Xenotron: Techno-Organic Alien Mecha. As you can see, there is still quite a bit of refining (and arms!) needed. However, I wanted to get everyone an update of how this figure is coming along. As you can see, this figure is inspired by many of the same things as the Galaxxor sculpt, and is intended to be an additional figure within that hypothetical "line". Any comments or criticisms are most certainly welcome.
It's also worth noting that the coming of the Xenotron figure is in no way the end of Galaxxor figures. It has always been my intention to develop a few of these sculpts and release them all intermittently.
And, yes, I know that Xenotron is the name of a font.
