Behold, Gorgax!

I'd like to thank everyone who came out and visited my friends and I at the Nerd City booth last weekend at C2E2. Your support means so much to us! You guys snatched up all of the Cyborg Space Barbarians that I had to offer and got a sneak preview of this prototype of my next figure, Galaxxor's arch nemesis, General Gorgax!
As I stated above, this is the prototype, so there might be minor tweaks. But, I think I'm going to stick with the gloss glitter black/ matte black/ neon green color scheme. These guys will be in an edition of five and pricing and drop date are tba. However, I'm thinking that these figures will be closer in cost to Galaxxors and will probably drop in about a month.
Apologies to those of you who missed out on the first waves of Cyborg Space Barbarians. But, fear not! I intent to produce a few more sets for sale in the web store in the near future.

See You at C2E2!

This weekend, from April 13-15, I will be at Nerd City's booth #842 at C2E2! And, I'm going to be bringing 5 of General Gorgax's elite henchmen with me, The Cyborg Space Barbarians!

Drowlok

Wardraak (Horned Variant)

Hallogrim

Gammathrall (Horned Variant)

Orion Axe

The Cyborg Space Barbarian figures Orion Axe, Wardraak, Hallogrim, Gammathrall and Drowlok consist of a helmet that was originally designed and sculpted by Ben Spencer and produced in resin by Marty “The Godbeast” Hansen. These Cyborg Space Barbarian figures also feature bodies from disused vintage Masters of the Universes that were rescued from second hand stores, flea markets and the like, and brought back to brilliant life with hand painting and tlc from Ben Spencer. Each character will be available in an edition of 5 with 2 special horned “chase variant” figures. They will come in standard bag and header card format and will be available for $40 each from the Nerd City booth #842. Any leftovers will be available next week in The Galaxxor Online Store.
Fans of resin/MOTU/indie/Glyos toys will find plenty of other things to love at booth #842. Check out this blog entry at Nerd City for more details. There will also be plenty of cool things on display for Galaxxor fans to check out, including past Galaxxors, the still very WIP Xenotron sculpt and the unveiling of the General Gorgax figure.

Final Galaxxor 001 Transmission from The Godbeast

Before shipping off the unpainted Galaxxor 001's to me, The Godbeast snapped these sweet pics of them and posted them to his blog. They are seen here with the white prototype sculpt, a gray resin prototype (just in case Galaxxor decides to go vinyl), and the awesome Mammoth Monster figure, designed by TGB's son, MJ.
The Galaxxor 001's should be showing up on my doorstep any day now, and I can't wait to get up some WIP painting images up of them asap. I'm still aiming for a OCtober sale date for the 001's through The Galaxxor Online Store.
Stay tuned. Things are just starting to get interesting!

A Few More Pics of the Prototype

Kirby did such a great job of photographing the Galaxxor prototype that I felt I should post a few more pics. It also provides me with the chance to show it from a few additional angles, as well.
I did speak to The Godbeast this past weekend and the mold creation process is probably underway right now. So, it shouldn't be too long before we start to see images of the first resin figures.

Galaxxor is Coming

Yes. Galaxxor is, in fact, coming. After approx 8 months of trying to figure out how to sculpt, sculpting, sanding, painting, sanding, rethinking, sanding, sculpting and painting, the prototype for Galaxxor is as complete as it's going to be and on its way to my man, Marty Hansen, aka The Godbeast. Marty is going to be using his second to none skills to clone this guy into some very limited editions of resin figures that I will then hand paint and unleash upon the world.

This blog, along with nerdcityonline.com, will be the center of the Galaxxor Universe, and will therefore be the best place to keep up to date on our progress with the project and how to get your hands on a Galaxxor of your very own.

So please stay tuned. I'm certainly learning as I go with this one, but it should be a lot of fun. Any and all input and/or advice is greatly appreciated.

Big thanks to Kirby from Rotofugi for the badass photos!
