Barbalien Warrior and Magus 2 Pack from Galaxxor x Extra-Truckestrial Drops 11.10.14 at Noon CDT
Being a collector of resin toys, myself, I've been a long time fan of Extra-Truckestrial Customs. Over the years, I've amassed quite the Extra-Truckestrial collection and become really good friends with Tim Harrison, the mastermind behind the operation. For a while, now, Tim and I have been discussing the possibility of collaborating on something. About a year or so ago, Time had shown me a resin Alien head that he was casting that was perfectly sized for a vintage MOTU figure. I kept bugging Tim to make me something with it, but busy schedules got in the way. Then, a few months back, it occurred to me that I could produce a figure with that head, utilizing junky, disused vintage MOTU bucks, in much the same way that I've done with my Cyborg Space Barbarians and Grape-Apes. Tim thought it was a great idea and the concept of Barbaliens was born.
But wait, there's more! Extra-Truckestrial had also been producing some super cool resin mini figures that featured the body from a Buddha statue and the head of a pop cultural icon. Tim had the idea to produce said figure with the Alien head, as well, and asked me if I wanted to include one of those, as well. I brainstormed over the concept and, reaching back into my tabletop gamer roots, came up with the idea of utilizing a cleat acrylic flight stand. This concept took what originally was a statue and turned it into a tiny fat wizard Barbalien floating on a levitating silver disk.
I really enjoyed painting these figures and getting back to working with the vintage MOTU barbarian buck. In recent releases, my painting sytle and identity has evolved into one centered around simpler, cleaner aps. I feel like I am now very closely emulating the style that you would see on an action figure from the early 80's. Colorwise, with this release, I was really going for a blacklight poster sort of palate, and I think that shows. I found that the colors also work particularly well, because they remind me of an early 90's figure, from the time when Alien toys were all the rage.
The Barbalien Warrior and Magus 2 pack comes with 1 Barbalien Warrior figure, which features a head cast in resin by Extra-Truckestrial Customs and the reclaimed body of a vintage 5.5" MOTU figure. It was hand painted by Ben Spencer, features shoulder articulation and comes with a skull trophy necklace accessory. The Barbalien Magus was mashed up and cast in resin by Extra-Truckestrial. It was hand painted by Ben Spencer and is mounted on a clear acrylic flight stand.
This 2 pack is limited to an edition of 5 sets and will be available from The Galaxxor Online Store at noon CDT on 11.10.14.

Cipher: The Last Bounty Hunter 1/1 Figure Drops 10.3.14 @ Noon CST
OK people – We get it – but PLEASE STOP using Boba Fett in your bootlegs toys. This trend has RUN ITS COURSE. At this point in the game, using a Fett shows A) lack of creativity and B) admittance that your figure cant sell on its own merits. “But Boba Fett is awesome and he is such a big part of my growing up.” Ya, so is masturbation, but I don’t see a hundred fucking bootlegs with that theme. -Art Toy Critic
For the most part, I agree. But I had this sweet Boba Fett Pez dispenser and a spare Galaxxor body sitting around, and I was just like, "Eh, screw it. I'm making this thing."
No one knows the true identity of of the bounty hunter known simply as "Cipher". He seems to pop up everywhere in the Galaxxorverse, coming to the aid of The Lucha Sharks, assisting General Gorgax's Cyborg Space Barbarians in a battle against the Hippo Titan Soldiers of the planet Kabagiff, and going toe-to-toe with Galaxxor 005 at the beginning of The Xenotron Invasion. Some claim that Cipher is a lone Space Knight survivor of The Xanthic Void War, weaving his way through the Galaxxorverse and trying to return to the homeworld of The Seven Space Gods. Others claim that he is one of Gorgax's most elite operatives, making surgical strikes to weaken the defenses of humanity in his quest for domination. Yet others would argue that he is simply a blood thirsty cutthroat, willing to fight under any banner for the right price. The only thing that is for certain, is that when you lift a character pretty much straight out of Warhammer 40K lore, it seems much less obvious if he's wearing a Mandalorian helmet.
Cipher is a 5.5" resin art toy that features 2 points of articulation (shoulders). The body was sculpted/designed by Ben Spencer and was extensively refined by Marty "The Godbeast" Hansen and Josh Edwards of True Cast Studio, and the head is from an old Pez dispenser. Cipher was hand painted by Ben Spencer and comes in traditional bag and header packaging. This is 1/1 figure will be be available on 10.03.14 at noon CST from The Galaxxor Online Store for $85.

Phobos: Interdimensional Space Demon from Galaxxor x Frenzy Bros Drops 08.01.14
I've been a fan of Frenzy Bros. for quite some time. They're really a kindred spirit in their love of far out, colorful barbarian monster toys. This past C2E2, I just randomly reached out to Shoji from Frenzy to see if he'd like to have an exclusive of one his vinyl/resin hybrid figures at Nerd City's booth, and much to my excitement, he was totally down! What he came up with was Nightmare, a super weirdo/badass skull/demon faced barbarian figure that ended up being a huge hit. During our conversations, it came up that Shoji also dug Galaxxor and we came up with the idea of a Galaxxor x Frenzy Bros collaboration. and the end result is Phobos: Interdimensional Space Demon!
This classic 5.5" action figure-style resin art toy features a head that was sculpted by Frenzy Bros. and a body that was sculpted by Ben Spencer, engineered and produced in resin by The Godbeast and True Cast Studio, and hand painted by Ben Spencer. Phobos features 2 points of articulation and comes packed in a traditional bag and header style. This figure is limited to an extremely limited edition of 3.
Phobos: The Interdimensional Space Demon will be available 08.01.14 at noon CST from the Galaxxor online store for $85 each.

Fintastico, the mystical magician of The Lucha Sharks! He'll amaze you with his arcane prowess as well as his gleaming, glittery skin! This figure was sculpted
and designed
by Ben Spencer and fine tuned and produced in resin by
Marty "The Godbeast" Hansen at True Cast Studio. Fintastico was also given a brilliant glittery finish and hand painted by Ben Spencer. This figure is
